Great Hair Transplantation case the other day!

I had a very satisfying small case couple days ago: patient developed wide unsightly scars at the sides of her scalp from previous surgery with complete loss of hair in and around the scars. I have transplanted about 100 follicles from the back of the scalp which took me about 2-3 hours without assistant. You CAN transplant hair into the scar contrary to many doctors' belief-that's what I learned at the recent AAFPRS conference, and successfuly implemented it into my practice.

Breaking News: use your own cells to prevent and treat face aging.

Last Friday I was the first one in Boston to test new system used to stimulate new collagen production in your face. It invlolves drawing few drops of your blood and getting the plasma part of it with the cells that stimulate proliferation of new collagen.

Here are the pictures of a patient before and after procedure. Note the immediate fullness of the face and disappearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and softening of the jowles.
There's also the video or me injecting. As you can see procedure is very quick and comfortable for the patient.

New Way of lookng YOUNG forever

Finally, there's an answer to my patients who want to prevent aging or look refreshed without putting anything foreign in their faces! I have already tested it on a myself and a model, have pictures and videos to edit and post soon, and hoping to be the first one in Boston to offer this wonderful procedure!
Last weekend I've spent at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery conference in Boston's Hynes Convention center. I love the feeling of excitement from learning something new and getting even more passionate and proud about what I do.
One of the presentations was about the new product Selphyl (http://www.selphyl.com/). In a nutshell: I draw several cc's of blood from the patient, spin in in the centrifuge to separate into fractions, and the fraction with fresh plasma rich with fibrin and platelets (with growth factors which will stimulate collagen production) I inject it into the face to restore lost volume and fill in the lines.
Injection takes 10 minutes, feels very comfortable, and promises to be a very valuable addition to my practice. Catch picture before and after and a video of me injecting the patient tomorrow!
